I. REGISTRATION & NEW CLIENT INFORMATION
Registration Instructions
Prior to your child’s initial evaluation, he/she must be fully registered online. If your child is not registered, we cannot allow him/her to participate due to safety and liability issues.
Directions are as follows:
• Visit www.LeapsnBoundz.com
• Click Register Now
• Complete Family Information (please note that the student last name must be listed in the family last name slot, even if the parent name is different).
• Complete Student Information for each child that will be participating.
• DO NOT SELECT CLASSES. This option is for administration and will be completed by Leaps…n…Boundz staff.
• Check off all Release boxes.
• Enter Payment Information – You must submit your credit card information. Your credit card information holds the evaluation slot and will be used for billing. Please refer to the section titled Financial Information for detailed billing information, schedule and payment options.
• Select Submit Registration Information.
• Once registration has been submitted, a page will appear stating that your registration was successful.
• Within 24-48 hours, you will receive a confirmation email from one of our staff members welcoming you into the program.
Initial Evaluations for Gym, Swim, Park & Home
All new clients must complete an initial evaluation in the gym, pool, park or home to participate in Leaps…n…Boundz programming. For example, your child must complete an initial gym evaluation to participate in the gym program, an initial swim evaluation to participate in the swim program, etc.
If your child is participating in multiple programs, you still only need one initial evaluation. Any additional information for other programs will be gathered during the first day of his/her session. For example, if your child is scheduled in the swim program and wants to add the gym program, another evaluation is not necessary. Instructors will communicate prior to the start date, and any additional information will be gathered on the first visit in the gym.
Initial Evaluations for Social Groups
If your child is a new client to Leaps…n…Boundz or new to the gym program, he/she must complete a social skills evaluation to participate in social groups. In addition, all parents must complete a social skills inventory for their child. Additional information will be gathered during the first few sessions.
Initial Evaluations for Camp
If your child is a new client or new to the gym program, he/she must complete an evaluation in the gym to participate in camp.
Initial Evaluations for Community Adventures
Your child does not need to be a current client of Leaps…n…Boundz, nor does your child need an initial evaluation to participate in community adventures. These events are open to all who are interested.
II. FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Billing Schedule
Statements will be available for viewing on the 1st of every month through the customer portal. You will be billed on the 15th of the month. If you are a new client and begin sessions after the 15th of the month, you will be billed on the 1st for those completed sessions and then again on the 15th for the new month. For example, if you start on September 28th, you will be billed on October 1st for that single session. You will then be billed on October 15th for all sessions for the month of October.
Financial Information for Gym, Swim, Park & Home
We currently accept payments privately and through Westside Regional Center. If your family is outside of the service area for Westside Regional Center, you may be able to request courtesy vendorship from Westside Regional Center through your caseworker.
Payments are accepted via credit card or check. If you do not want your credit card billed automatically, you must submit payment prior to the 15th of the month.
Please note that we are a RECREATIONAL PROGRAM and we DO NOT bill insurance for our recreational services.

Financial Information for Social Groups
We currently accept payments privately and through Westside Regional Center. If your family is outside of the service area for Westside Regional Center, you may be able to request courtesy vendorship from Westside Regional Center through your caseworker.
Payments are accepted via credit card only.
Social group fees are assessed upon your initial sign-up date and are non refundable. Due to the nature of social groups, make-ups are not feasible. There are no refunds or credits given for missed social group sessions.
Financial Information for Camp
Camp fees are assessed upon your sign-up date and are non refundable. If there is a conflict in your schedule, you may switch days within the same camp session if slots are available. If your child becomes sick, you will receive a credit for the missed day(s). Credits can only be used within the same camp sessions. For example, if you receive a credit for summer camp, you can only use it for summer camp and not winter or spring camp. Credits are non refundable, non-transferrable and can only be used for camp. Credits for camp may not be used for other Leaps…n…Boundz programming.
Financial Information for Community Adventure Fee
Community adventure fees are assessed upon submission and are non refundable. There is a non-refundable deposit required to secure a slot for the trip. Deposits will go towards the cost of the trip. The remainder of the costs for the trip is due 30 days prior to the event. There are no refunds or credits given for community adventures.
Liability Insurance
All families are required to pay an annual liability insurance fee directly to
Leaps…n…Boundz due on October 1st. This payment will be included in your October statement. This fee will only be pro rated if you are a new client and begin Leaps…n…Boundz within 5 months of October.

III. ATTENDANCE POLICIES
General Policies for Gym, Swim, Park & Home
Sessions are held on a weekly basis and are 55 minutes in length (pool sessions can be either 25 minutes or 55 minutes). Families are required to maintain an 80% attendance rate. If your attendance rate drops under 80%, there is a great possibility that your child will lose his/her time slot. It is important to attend sessions regularly so that your child can achieve the maximum benefits of our programs. Please be on time so that your child can have his/her entire session. We do not add extra time onto the end of your session for the time missed due to tardiness, nor do we carry sessions over into the next hour if you are late. Please be respectful of other clients’ time (sessions are back to back) and be ready to pick your child up 5 minutes prior to the end of his/her session. We do not have staff available to watch your children if you are running late. If late pick-ups become excessive, you will be billed $35.
Group Session Policies for Gym, Swim, Park and Home
Please note that if your child is in a dyad group session in the gym, pool, park or home and the other child cancels, you will be billed for an individual session. If there is a group of 3 or more children, and there is an absence, you will still be charged the group rate as long as there are at least 2 children in the group.
General Policies for Social Thinking Groups
Groups will be held on a weekly basis and are two hours in length, although exceptions may be made based on the needs of the child. Due to the nature of social groups, families are strongly encouraged to attend every session. It is important to build strong social connections; therefore, please make every effort to attend sessions consistently. Opening and closing activities are an integral part of the social connection-building that is the foundation of these groups, so please be on time. We do not give credits for time missed due to tardiness, nor do we carry sessions over into the next hour.
Advanced Notice Cancellations for Gym, Swim, Park & Home
If you know in advance that you will be missing sessions due to holidays, vacations, school breaks, etc., you must notify the office by the 26th of the preceding month to avoid being billed. If you want to do a make-up for a missed, unbilled session you will be charged accordingly. For example, if you are on vacation from May 1 - May 6 and you miss one Leaps…n…Boundz session, you need to notify the office by April 26th in order to avoid being billed. Leaps…n…Boundz will NOT hold spots for students who are out of town for more than 2 weeks in a row. If you would like to hold your scheduled day and time slot, you may do so by calling the main office and a holding fee will apply.
You will receive a noted absence for a canceled session if the office receives your call by 6:00 pm the day before your regular scheduled sessions. For example, if your child’s session is at 1:00 pm on Friday, you must call the office by 6:00 pm on Thursday to receive a noted absence. Please understand that it is your responsibility to notify the office of cancellations. Your instructor does not make note of any cancelations to your billing statement.
Same Day Cancellations for Gym, Swim, Park & Home
You will receive a noted absence for a canceled session if the office receives your call from the start of the day (9:00 am) until 3 hours prior to your regular scheduled session. For example, if you are scheduled for a 2:00 pm session on a Monday, you must call the office by 11:00 am on Monday to receive a noted absence. However, you will be charged a late cancel fee based on the following:
• 1st time late cancel - $15.00 fee
• 2nd time late cancel - $25.00 fee
• 3 or more late cancel - $35.00 fee
You will not receive a noted absence for cancelations within 3 hours of your regularly scheduled session and will be charged in full. You can do a make-up session, but will be charged for an additional session.
You will not receive a noted absence for missing a session without cancelling and will be charged in full. You can do a make-up session; it will be charged at the regular rate.
Swim Cancellations Lane Fee
Please note that Leaps…n…Boundz is charged a lane fee for the use of the swim facilities. We pay this fee even if your child does not attend. If your child is absent (regardless if it is an advance notice cancelation, a same day cancelation or a no call and no show) there is a $15 lane charge to cover the facility cost which will be billed to your account. Please review the above information to find out if your child’s missed session qualities for a make-up session. If a make-up session is completed, as a courtesy, we will remove the lane fee charge.
Make-Up Sessions for Gym, Swim, Park & Home
Gym, pool, park and home visit noted absences may be used interchangeably. You have one month from your missed session to complete a make-up session and then it is void. If you are unable to complete a make-up session with your current instructor, you are encouraged to make an appointment with another instructor. Call the office to set up an appointment. CreditsWe recommend that make-up sessions must be used within the month of which the noted absence occurred. Make-ups are non-refundable, non-transferrable and can only be used for gym, pool, park and home visits. Make-up funds for the gym, pool, park and home may not be used for other Leaps…n…Boundz programming (Social Groups, Camp and Community Adventures)
Schedule Changes for Gym, Swim, Park & Home
If you need to change your child’s permanent time slot due to a scheduling conflict, please talk to your instructor directly. If you are able to find a new slot, please notify the office immediately. If you are unable to find a new slot with your current instructor, please notify the office of your available days and times and you will be matched with a different instructor.
IV. HEALTH & WELLNESS
Sickness
Please do not send your child in if he/she has been sick or is coming down with a cold. If your child is contagious, has a fever, green or yellow nasal discharge, a persistent cough, draining eyes/nose/ears, pink eye, strep throat or any unexplainable rashes, PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILD AT HOME. Germs spread rapidly and we want healthy happy children and healthy happy coaches. If your child is healthy, he/she will have great success with us.
Medications
Please keep your instructors up to date on any changes in medications. They may impact attention, focus and endurance levels ,which then alters performance levels.
Potty Training
Your child does not have to be potty trained to participate in our programs. However, you must have a change of clothes and extra diapers/pull-ups on hand in case of an accident.
If your child is in the swim program and there is any possibility of incontinence, your child must wear swim pull-ups. No exceptions. If there is an accident while swimming, the entire pool and facility will shut down completely and all sessions will be canceled for that day.

Rain Date Information
Swimming Sessions
If your child is scheduled for swim sessions and it is raining, sessions will be held at the gym. Times and days will remain the same.
Santa Monica Swim Center will be at Broadway Gym
Rose Bowl will be at Champion Gym
Park Sessions
If you are scheduled for park sessions and it is raining, sessions will be held at the gym. Times and days will remain the same.
All park sessions will be held at Broadway Gym.
Dress Code
Please have your child in comfortable, gym attire. Leotards, shorts and t-shirts are permitted. Jeans, skirts and extremely loose fitting clothes are not recommended. Long hair must be tied up and no jewelry. Unless approved by your instructor, there are no socks or shoes worn during sessions.
Parent Roles
We love the support that families provide to their children. It is very important for our staff to develop healthy relationships with your child. Please refrain from coming on the floor as well as coaching your child from the waiting area. It is a facility policy as well as a Leaps…n…Boundz policy that parents are not allowed on the gym floor. We have multiple viewing areas in all facilities should you want to watch.
Siblings
Siblings are not permitted on the floor unless they are in a class with the host facility or in a session with a Leaps…n…Boundz instructor. Unattended children are not permitted in designated Leaps…n…Boundz gym areas. Siblings may not be left unattended in waiting areas. No exceptions.
